Burg Belfort, Brienz

Art, tradition and customs

Art & culture

Closeness to nature, strong traditions and a significant hunger for innovation combine to create a modern, alpine chic style, and to characterise the Lenzerheide holiday region. The wide cultural programme ranges from classical concerts, to «Talks am Berg» led by public figures, to top DJs.

Traditions and customs also have a strong presence in the Lenzerheide resort. Hand-made cheese and traditional Bündnerfleisch (dried beef) are still produced here. Watch local farmers' wives bake bread as yesteryear in the old bakehouse, or treat yourself to local specialities at the popular farmers' wives evenings. Discover historic treasures from the time when Graubünden still consisted of individual «alliances», in the museums in Zorten and Brienz, and in the mountains and churches. The Kunstmuseum Chur (Chur art gallery) and a wide range of cultural activities are nearby in the alpine city of Chur.
