The groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of the Parpan alpine cheesery happened in the autumn of 2015. In the winter months, a new alpine cheesery arose. In the traditional barn of the «Plantahof» you can now visit a new alpine cheesery with glass facade and a spacious auditorium. Visitors are given the opportunity to look the farmers over the shoulders to gain exciting insights into the world of alpine cheese and to taste the final product.
More than 250,000 liters of milk from the Alps Stätz, Kötzigerberg and Plantahof are merged annually in the alpine cheesery Parpan. The processing of the alpine milk locally doesn't only create local jobs but also allows the direct sale of alpine cheese to guests and locals.
Visit the cheese factory individually during the period (mid-May to mid-October) daily from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm.
