The cross-country ski network in the Lenzerheide holiday region stretches from Lantsch/Lenz to Parpan and has been recognised as one of the best areas in Switzerland by the umbrella organization «Loipen Schweiz». Every day the cross-country skiers can find 56 km of freshly groomed slopes for classic and skating techniques as well as for all different levels.
In the region, you will find a variety of mostly flat cross-country ski slopes, as well as a highly technical and challenging terrain. In particular, the racing slope La Pala is regarded as a touchstone for every experienced cross-country skier.
In the Lenzerheide holiday region there are trails for every level. Furthermore, you have the possibility to go cross-country skiing on the illuminated night trail in the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide.
Trails for beginners
The blue trails are located between St. Cassian and the golf course, around the Heidsee lake, and between Parpan and Mittelberg. The starting points are easily accessible by sportbus and PostBus. The cross-country skiing centres fee-based parking are located nearby.
Trails for advanced skiers
With their altitude, the red trails call for advanced skiers, and are spread across the entire trail network. Both trails in the direction of Capfeders (from Parpan) and Bual (in Lantsch/Lenz) lead you to the most beautiful places in the high valley of Lenzerheide.
Trails for experienced skiers
The black racing trail, La Pala in Lenzerheide, is best for physically experienced and technically versed skiers. It is a real test for any cross-country skier.
Together with the Swiss Heart Foundation, «Loipen Switzerland» is launching the «Heart cross-country» ski project. At eight different locations in Switzerland, short circular loops without gradients have been selected, which are especially suitable for cross-country beginners and those who want to do something for their heart health. A 4 km long and illuminated night trail is waiting for night owls in the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide. The night trail is open and lit daily between 05.00 and 09.00 pm.
The use of the cross-country skiing trails it only possible with a valid cross-country skiing pass. With the menitoned cross-country skiing passes below the night trail is included.

The cross-country skiing passes can be purchased at following selling points in the Lenzerheide holiday region. The selling proceeds comprehensively flow into the regional cross-country skiing infrastructure.
In the Lenzerheide holiday region you will find three cross-country centres which are well-equipped for optimal access to the extensive network of trails in the region. Fee-based parking is available at all centres.
The cross-country skiing centre in Valbella, located by the lakeside, offers catering, lavatories, showers, changing rooms, lockers and a waxing room.
Nordic House, Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide, Lantsch/Lenz
The 2016 newly opened cross-country skiing centre is the most modern one of the region. It commands catering facilities in the bistro Bualino, lavatories and showers, changing rooms and a sport shop incl. rental, service and cross-country skiing lessons.
New snow sports centre Parpan
For the upcoming winter season 2017/18 a new snow sports centre will emerge which also includes the cross-country skiing centre. It offers a cross-country skiing shop and rental, a selling point for cross-country skiing passes, an information point and a bistro.
