Personal fairy tale book
In Arosa and Lenzerheide, a special novelty awaits our little guests this summer. From July 2021, children will become protagonists in their own personal digital storybook. This way, every child can take their personal holiday experience home with them as a digital picture book. In their own story, the child visits popular family places in the Lenzerheide holiday region or Arosa and experiences special adventures with an animal companion.
The idea of the digital fairy tale book came from a project team consisting of Hanspeter Zemp - software developer and programmer, Beat Zihlmann - illustrator and Jolanda Steiner - author. Jolanda Steiner, who has often performed as a storyteller in Arosa and Lenzerheide, presented the idea to the two destinations in November 2020. The idea was enthusiastic and so two fairy tales were worked out in close cooperation. One for Arosa and one for Lenzerheide.
The two fairy tales are each complemented by six matching illustrations by Beat Zihlmann, in which the children find themselves thanks to the development by Hanspeter Zemp. But how does it all work?
The child is photographed in front of a green screen, whereupon the photos are immediately inserted into the illustrations. The child's name is recorded in the fairy tale text and each child is allowed to choose a name for the animal companion. This makes not only the illustrations but also the fairy tale itself unique. The result is a digital book as a PDF and the individual story is sent to the parents.
The digital and personal fairy tale book is available free of charge at the Arosa Tourist Office and the Lenzerheide Tourist Office. Discover the offer and take your holiday experiences home with you as a fairytale book.
