Swiss Epic
The multi-day mountain bike stage race is part of the worldwide Epic Series. On the five daily stages covering 320 kilometres and 12,250 metres of altitude difference, the 220 two-man teams battle it out from Laax via Arosa to Davos. The Swiss Epic stands for a mountain bike race that is both physically and technically challenging, in which professional teams and passionate recreational mountain bikers take part. There are three teams competing for Arosa: Christoph Sauser and Silvio Bundi, the two former mountain bike professionals and winners of the Cape Epic in 2006, the brothers Thomas and Volker Martins from the comedy duo Chaos-Theater Oropax, and the locals Markus Thommen and Daniel Wohlgensinger.
