Alpen Challenge Lenzerheide starts on 13 June 2021

The Alpen Challenge Lenzerheide will take place again after a one-year break. On 13 June 2021, 1000 cycling enthusiasts will once again be allowed to start in "Europe's most beautiful cycling marathon". The cycling classic with start and finish in the Roland Arena in Lantsch/Lenz is one of the pilot events selected by the canton of Graubünden to gain experience in handling large events.

More starting places are available
The cycling marathon is one of the toughest in the Alps, starting and finishing in the Roland Arena in Lantsch/Lenz and crossing the Albula, Julier, Maloja and Splügen Alpine passes. Normally, around 1300 cycling enthusiasts from all over Europe start over the two race distances. The upper limit of 600 participants has now been raised to 1000 by the canton of Graubünden. This means that people on the waiting list will also be considered and there are even more starting places available.

In addition to the regular preparations for the Alpen Challenge Lenzerheide, a comprehensive protection concept is being developed for the cycling marathon. A central part of the measures, for which experience will also be gathered for future major events, is a test system with clear, forgery-proof personal identification. All participants, the organization and the volunteers will be tested for Alpen Challenge Lenzerheide.

The Lenzerheide holiday region is looking forward to hosting the cycling classic.
