Awarding of the Biathlon World Championships 2025

Decision: Saturday, 14 November 2020

«Lenzerheide is ready for more», this was the promise Lenzerheide made after the successful IBU Youth & Junior World Championships Biathlon 2020 last January. The seriousness of these words was underlined in spring when Swiss-Ski and the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide submitted their World Championships candidature to the International Biathlon Union (IBU). For the first time, Switzerland now could be awarded a biathlon world championship.

During the IBU Congress on Saturday, November 14, 2020, the decision for an acceptance or rejection will be made. Lenzerheide is in the race for the prestigious World Championships together with Minsk, Belarus. It is a great moment for the entire Swiss sport, for Swiss-Ski, the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide and the whole Lenzerheide holiday region.
