206 Rofna-Lantsch-Weg

This cozy round trip takes you to the most beautiful corners of Lantsch/Lenz: from the Biathlon Arena to the Lenzer forest and the ski lift. Marvellous views into Oberhalbstein and onto Heinzenberg await you in Rofna.

The starting point of this round tour, which is about five kilometers long, is the municipal building of Lantsch/Lenz. From there, the route takes you through the beautiful «Tgampi» area and to the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide, where regular competitions of the Biathlon Swiss Cup and the Tour de Ski are held.

There, the cantonal street is crossed and the winter hiking trail to the altitude Rofna followed. The slightly ascending walk to Rofna leads mostly through a snowy forest landscape. Once you have arrived, you will have a wonderful view of the Oberhalbstein and the Heinzenberg. And: The fireplace in Rofna is now also available in winter. The evening sun can be enjoyed here especially long.

From Rofna the descent into open terrain leads to the Lenzer ski lift and then back to the village. The sights of Lantsch / Lenz include three churches. Particularly interesting: the church of the Virgin Mary with the gothic altar and the well-preserved wall paintings from the 14th century. The graveyard with its wrought burial crosses is one of the most beautiful in Europe. In addition, two well-preserved washing and baking houses can be visited, which give insight into the past village culture.
