As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, the planned World Cup cycle for mountain bikers was more than upset and a restart of the World Cup season is planned for September 2020. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide will be the kick-off.

Finally the time has come: Lenzerheide is starting into a new bike era and presents a first highlight of the new Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide with the film «The Legend of Tommy G».

The latest information from the Swiss federal government shows a light at the end of the tunnel. The measures taken in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic are being gradually eased and - if all goes well - will allow the first tourists to visit Lenzerheide again as early as June.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide will not take place as planned. After the Swiss government extended the ban on events until the end of August 2020, it is clear that the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide cannot take place from 14 to 16 August 2020 as planned. Nevertheless, the organisers are still in close contact with the UCI and various partners and authorities in order to look for a possible postponement in autumn 2020. A final decision should be available at the end of May.

From 13 to 18 March 2022, the Airline World Ski Championships will return to Lenzerheide after 19 years. The World Ski Championships, where only employees of airlines compete against each other, will take place in Lenzerheide for the second time since 2003.
